Who we are

Sentinel Educational Foundation is a Canadian registered charity established to advance education by:

providing to the public workshops, classes, seminars, conferences, training programs, and educational aids on subjects relating to public health, mental health and addiction, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the environment.

establishing and operating a journalism training program providing on-the-job training to Indigenous youth and other youth, equipping them with journalism and writing skills and helping them find permanent careers.

conducting research on topics relating to public health, mental health and addiction, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the environment, and publicly disseminating the results of such research.

Our Mission

The Sentinel Educational Foundation fosters independent environmental and social justice education. We support the Watershed Sentinel magazine and other independent journalism and invest in training, resources, and initiatives that empower people to understand complex issues, amplify grassroots voices, and take action for a just and sustainable future.
